Guidelines to authors

Submission method

Authors can create user account with the journal website ( and follow an easy 5 step procedure to upload the manuscript. While registering don’t forget to tick the field “register as – author”.

Online submission – 5 step procedure

1. Login using the user ID and password ( Click on “New Submission”. Complete the relevant fields such as article type (Journal section), tick the check lists. Save and continue to next step.

2. In the second step upload your manuscript, save and continue to next step.

3. In the third step, using Add Author option, add all authors of your article. Copy and paste title and abstract of your article at relevant columns. Copy and paste your reference list to the last column. Please separate individual references with a blank line. Save and continue to next step.

4. In the fourth step, upload any supplementary file author wish to add, otherwise just save and continue to next step.

5. In fifth step, click on Finish submission.

Manuscript preparation

The article is to be prepared in English language in MS word, Times New Roman, 12 pt font size with double spacing.

Research article

The manuscript file of research should be arranged in the flowing order:



Authors names; affiliations; email address and phone number of corresponding author.

Results and discussion (Separate sections for Results and Discussion also allowed)





Title: Title should be concise and be reflective of the contents being presented in the paper. The title can directly state the novel findings in the paper or it can be in question form. The authors should bear in mind that it is the title that decides to make your article popular.

Abstract: Typically abstract represent a mini article. It provides a bird’s eye view on the contents in the article. It should state the problem in 1 or 2 sentences, followed by a brief description of methodology. It should also consist of major findings and take home message. Remember, this part will not have any references. The abstract should not be more that 250 words.

Key words: Please provide 5 to 8 key words arranged alphabetically. Key words should be different from the words used in title. This is important part of article and good key words will help in other researchers to find your article.


Use only SI units

All abbreviations are to be expanded in the first instance of its appearance in the article. Use only standard abbreviations.

Please do not use abbreviation of journal names.

Please use numbering (1,2 ……) for equations.

Follow chemical abstracts and indexes for chemical names. Please consult websites of IUPAC/ IUBMB for chemical, biochemical and molecular biology nomenclature.

Use the full scientific names of plants/ animals in the title.

Tables and figures

Enclose Tables and figures at the end after references. Each table need to be numbered along with concise heading. Extra information can be provided as foot note. The table should be stand alone, and readers do not need to refer to text for interpreting a table.

Each figure need to be numbered along with a concise legend. Any symbols and abbreviations used in the figure need to be explained. Maps and micrograph should have scale bar.

Both tables and figures should be referred at appropriate place in the text.


Authors using reference manager, please follow the (Author-Date) referencing and citation style.

In text reference style

All work refereed in the article must be duly acknowledged.

In text citation style should be as follows:

Joe and Brian (2017) reported that……………………

Liu et al., (2015) found that ……

Changed behavior (Atkinson, 2013; Zotarella et al., 2015; David and Parkinson, 2017).

Here please note authors are arranged based on year and not alphabetically. More than two authors are denoted by et al.

If many papers by the same author in the same year use letter symbol to distinguish between them (Liu, 2015a, b).

Listing of references

References are to be arranged alphabetically. For papers upto 10 authors list them all. If more than 10 list the first three followed by et al.

The review articles should have Abstract, Introduction, Conclusion and References. Other headings and sub headings can be chosen as per the content being presented.

Research notes/ short communication

Short communications should not contain abstract, other headings except acknowledgements and References.


Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word file format, double line-spaced; uses a 12-point font. 

    Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

  3. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines
